Recycled Steampunk

I tend to love most things that depict the Victorian era and Steampunk is no exception. Although it’s a sci-fi rendition of the future as the Victorians might have imagined it, it seems to embody that very Victorian sense of exploration and wonderment. The idea of a future run by steam, an alter-future. The industrial and scientific combined with the unknown, the mythological… compasses, time pieces, locomotives, flying machines, Sherlock Holmes, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein… There are some incredible Steampunk pieces out there. And, as imagination is your only limiter, if you can imagine it, you can make it. That’s the spirit of Victorian industrialisation! Haha.

Here are some of my attempts! I made these pieces using recycled pocket watch parts.
